Dogs have adapted to eating our food, but they prefer being carnivores!

Today's dogs can only eat what we feed them, and a dog will unknowingly eat an incomplete diet.

However, it does not make for a healthy animal and will drastically reduce your dog’s lifespan.

Much in the same way, humans could eat McDonald's three times a day for life, we could survive.

However, we would not be very healthy and it too would drastically reduce our lifespan.

Still not sure about Carnivores Vs Omnivores this will help.

Omnivores teeth move up, down and sideways... allowing humans to cut and grind food.

Omnivores have a long digestive tract allowing us to completely break down complex foods.

Carnivores teeth only move up and down... allowing for shredding and swallowing meats whole.

Carnivores have a short digestive tract favoring meat and organ protein not complex plant based foods.

Bottom line: Dogs are scavengers and they will eat anything, but to be healthy they require meat.
